3XN have built
in Vienna for the first time.
And with it they have
set new standards
in the historic centre.

Whether it’s the Blue Planet, the Danish National Aquarium in Copenhagen, the Spectacular Grove Towers in Mumbai or the new headquarters of the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne. Danish architects 3XN design buildings of particular, globally acclaimed quality. This can also be seen at No10, their first project in Vienna. The Scandinavian pursuit of clarity and functionality is clearly visible. Expertly combined with modern, informal styling. The new building blends harmoniously into the established ensemble of the first district. With a completely new understanding of contemporary architecture.

Jan Ammundsen is one of the outstanding architects at 3XN. His ideas and concepts have already shaped numerous award-winning buildings, such as Copenhagen’s new main hospital - the Rigshospitalet - the Blue Planet Aquarium or the ‘Plassen’ Cultural Centre in the Norwegian city of Molde. Vienna imparts a special feeling, says Ammundsen. A feeling that has flowed into the curved design of No10.

“We wanted to bring classic New York Park Avenue doorman living to Vienna – and at the same time make it affordable.” This is how Daniel Jelitzka describes the idea behind No10. Before it could be realised, accurate research on contemporary needs and working trips to inspiring places were on the agenda. New York, Miami, Paris. Where the atmosphere and sense of living you envision is already experienced in high-quality apartment buildings. The new generation of comfort at No10 is based on the experiences gathered whilst visiting these places.

New energy between old buildings
Even from the outside, the intrinsic spirit of No10. is evident for everyone. The flowing shape of the building and the façade made of anodised aluminium and glass harmonise elegantly. The new residential building shimmers golden in the sunshine. It looks stylish and atmospheric. The sun shades and floor-to-ceiling profiles of the windows are colour coordinated. White balconies appear wave-like from the long length of the building and act as a shade.

Green open spaces
There is also a small area for lovers of everything natural. This applies to the conveniently located, sheltered courtyard garden too, reserved for the residents of No10. The specially planted, soothing green area with a round water basin really finishes off the sumptuous outdoor relaxation zone. A similar one can also be found on the forecourt of the building. Where until now there was no green to be seen, trees and flowers now grow alongside small bodies of water, with street furniture in keeping with the overall architecture. An unexpected idyll in the middle of the city centre.
